არასდროს/არსად
Never and Nowhere
არასდროს means never and არსად means nowhere.
How It Works
| Question | Negative word |
|---|---|
| როდის? (when?) | არასდროს (never) |
| სად? (where?) | არსად (nowhere) |
You will also hear არასოდეს (arasodes). It means the same as არასდროს.
As with არავინ and არაფერი, Georgian allows a second არ before the verb. Both are correct:
- არასდროს ვაგვიანებ. (I am never late.)
- არასდროს არ ვაგვიანებ. (I am never late.)
English often turns never into ever and nowhere into anywhere after not. Georgian keeps the negative word: არსად არ მივდივარ (I'm not going anywhere).
For a quick answer, use the word alone: სად მიდიხარ? (Where are you going?) არსად. (Nowhere.)

Not anywhere is არსად in Georgian.
- — სად მიდიხარ? — არსად.
