Name, then ह: हमार नाम नेहा ह. To ask, put का before ह.

How It Works

Bhojpuri says the name is something, using ह for identity. The word for my, your or his stays before नाम.

Use तोहार with friends and children, and राउर with elders, customers and people you have just met. You can also ask रउआ के हईं? (Who are you?), but the name question is the usual way to start.

Write ह with no ऽ. The sentence ends with ह and a danda: हमार नाम अमित ह।

  • Ending with the Hindi है.

    हमार नाम नेहा ह।

    Bhojpuri uses ह for identity, not the Hindi है.
