How It Works

Verbऊ लोग, or respect

बनाउबबनइहैं
देखबदेखिहैं

A stem that ends in -आ shortens the आ: जा gives जइहैं, आ gives अइहैं, बना gives बनइहैं. Write it this way every time, not जाइहैं or आइहैं.

Awadhi uses the plural for respect, so use -इहैं for parents, grandparents, teachers and guests. The same ending goes with आप: आप काल्हि अइहैं का?

For one ordinary person use -ई, and for तुम use -इहौ.
