ด้วยกัน
Together
Use ด้วยกัน (dûai-kan) after a verb or object to show that people are doing something together as a group.
How It Works
Do Something Together
ด้วยกัน means together or in company with. เราไปเที่ยวด้วยกัน describes traveling together; เราเรียนภาษาไทยด้วยกัน describes studying Thai together. In พวกเขากินข้าวด้วยกันทุกวัน, it follows กินข้าว and the sentence adds every day.
Read The Invitation
มาทำงานด้วยกันไหมครับ asks whether the listener would come work together. The displayed order puts ด้วยกัน before ไหม and ครับ. Its reading comes from the complete question.
Compare Each Other
The love card requests เรารักกัน, we love each other. กัน can mark a reciprocal relation, an action directed at one another, as well as collective action. ด้วยกัน gives a together reading; do not assume that together and each other describe the same relation in every sentence.
Keep The Meaning Precise
Doing an activity together does not by itself report anyone’s feelings or measure exact synchronization. Read those details from the surrounding account.
