How It Works

1. Read the Displayed Clause
In เขามาสายเสมอ, เสมอ follows มาสาย. In ฉันจะรักคุณเสมอ, it follows รักคุณ. These sentences state a habit and a promise respectively; their wording does not certify that either claim holds in real life.

2. Frequency and Duration
เสมอ has frequency meanings such as always and regularly. ตลอด can mean throughout: ฝนตกตลอดทั้งวัน describes rain throughout the day. ประจำ / เป็นประจำ concerns regularity or a habit. These meanings do not establish comparative frequency, register, or emotional tone for all speakers.

3. Keep Negation Meanings Distinct

4. Other Meanings and Expressions
เสมอ can also mean even or equal: ที่ดินยังไม่เสมอ describes ground that is not yet level, while ผลของการแข่งขันเสมอกัน describes a tied match. สม่ำเสมอ can express regularity or consistency; this is not simply a more formal replacement for every เสมอ. 5. Read the Combinations

Common Mistakes
