Open Choices and Asserted Ranges

Level 6

هرچه بگویم → an open range. هرچه می‌گویم → the asserted saying range in context.

How It Works

Read an open choice. هرچه بگویم، او گوش نمی‌دهد says the lack of listening remains across the possible things the speaker might say. بگویم names the speaker’s possible saying; نمی‌دهد supplies the negative main action.

Read an asserted range. هرچه می‌گویم، او یادداشت می‌کند presents what the speaker says as the material being noted. The ordinary present can describe a routine or current interaction; the passage supplies which.

Keep the clause’s role. هرچه می‌خواهی انتخاب کن makes the whatever-you-want range the material for selection. There is no interrogative question mark, and the imperative identifies the listener’s action.

Track polarity at the correct layer. Negating the main listening action does not negate the possible saying. Conversely, a negative inside a range clause would change which instances are included. Read the two predicates before interpreting the overall generalization.
