How It Works
Join -बाबत or -संदर्भात to the noun. The noun takes its oblique form first. या निर्णयाबाबत नागरिकांची मते मागवण्यात आली. (People's opinions were invited on this decision.)

The two endings mean the same. -संदर्भात is longer and fits a title or a report. शुल्काबाबत कोणतीही तक्रार आलेली नाही. (No complaint about the fee has come in.)
The change before the ending is the one you already know from -त and -ला: परीक्षेत, परीक्षेला, परीक्षेबाबत. A pointing word has its own form: याबाबत (about this), त्याबाबत (about that).
Formal letters open with it: आपल्या अर्जासंदर्भात कळवण्यात येते की अर्ज मंजूर झाला आहे. (Regarding your application, we inform you that it has been approved.)
A long noun can come before it: परीक्षेच्या तारखेसंदर्भात लवकरच सूचना देण्यात येईल.
In everyday talk, use -बद्दल or -विषयी: मी त्याच्याबद्दल ऐकले आहे. Use -बाबत for notices, news and letters.

More information regarding the application is available at the office.
अर्जासंदर्भात names the subject.
- पाणीपुरवठ्याबाबत महापालिकेने खुलासा केला.
The municipal corporation clarified the matter of the water supply.
पाणीपुरवठ्याबाबत names the matter.
