Saying What You Need

Level 1Sounds Like hamarā ... cāhī

Use हमरा and चाही for what you need.

How It Works

To say what you need or want, use the object form of the person and चाही.

MaithiliMeaning
I need water.
She wants tea.
How much money do you need?

The person is in the object form: हमरा, ओकरा, हुनका. For a noun, add

चाही stays the same for every person and every thing. It is not a verb with endings.

This pattern is for things you need or want. For "want to do something", use the -ए चाहब pattern.

Do not use the Hindi
