How It Works
Допаѓа се works like English appeal to: the thing is the subject and the person is the receiver.
- The person is a to-someone pronoun: ми (I), ти (you), му (he), ѝ (she), ни (we), ви (you all), им (they).
- The thing decides the verb form: допаѓа for one thing, допаѓаат for several.
Order: to-someone pronoun, then се, then the verb: Ми се допаѓа. Negative: Не ми се допаѓа. Question: Дали ти се допаѓа? or Ти се допаѓа ли?
Naming the person: add на and keep the pronoun: На Ана ѝ се допаѓа овој град. (see на + лице за индиректен објект).
After an experience: the aorist of the partner verb допадне says you liked something you just saw or tried: Ми се допадна филмот. (I liked the film.)
A person as the thing liked: Ми се допаѓаш. means I like you, literally you are pleasing to me; the verb ending shows you.
Compared with сака: сака is the active verb for liking, loving or wanting: Сакам кафе. Ми се допаѓа describes how something strikes you.

Common Mistakes
Making the person who likes into the subject, as in English.
Јас се допаѓам Охрид.Ми се допаѓа Охрид.Јас се допаѓам would mean "I am pleasing". The liker is the to-someone pronoun ми, and Охрид is the subject.
Keeping the verb singular with a plural thing.
Ми се допаѓа песните.Ми се допаѓаат песните.The verb agrees with what is liked. Песните is plural, so use допаѓаат.
Leaving out се.
Ми допаѓа Охрид.Ми се допаѓа Охрид.In this meaning the verb is always допаѓа се, so се must be there, right after ми.
