ვისი
Whose
ვისი means whose.
How It Works
| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| ეს ვისი წიგნი არის? (Whose book is this?) | ჩემი. (Mine.) |
| ვისი ძაღლი არის? (Whose dog is it?) | ნინოს. (Nino's.) |
| ეს ჩანთა ვისი არის? (Whose bag is this?) | დედის. (Mom's.) |
| ვის სახლში ვართ? (Whose house are we in?) | გიორგის სახლში. (In Giorgi's house.) |
The answer uses a possessive (ჩემი, შენი) or the genitive: ნინოს (Nino's), დედის (Mom's), ჩემი მეგობრის (my friend's).
ვის on its own also means whom: ვის ხედავ? (Who do you see?). Before a noun, it means whose.
Like ჩემი, ვისი stays the same before a plural noun: ვისი წიგნები? (whose books?)
