-ვე
Right and Very
-ვე adds the sense of right or very: ახლავე (right now), მაშინვე (right away).
How It Works
-ვე (-ve) makes a word exact. It is very common with words for place and time:
| Word | With -ვე |
|---|---|
| ახლა (now) | ახლავე (right now) |
| მაშინ (then) | მაშინვე (right away) |
| დღეს (today) | დღესვე (this very day) |
| აქ (here) | აქვე (right here) |
| იქ (there) | იქვე (right there) |
On ამ and იმ (this and that before a noun in another case), -ვე means the same. An -ა- comes in after the consonant: ამავე წელს (in the same year), იმავე სკოლაში (at the same school).
ისევე means in just the same way: ისევე, როგორც (just as).
-ვე is written together with its word, at the very end: დღესვე, ახლავე.
