როგორც
As and Like
როგორც means as or like: როგორც გინდა (as you like).
How It Works
| Georgian | English |
|---|---|
| როგორც (rogorts) გინდა. | As you like. |
| როგორც ყოველთვის | as always |
| როგორც ხედავ | as you can see |
| როგორც ვიცი | as far as I know |
A clause with როგორც has its own verb, and that verb decides the cases: როგორც მასწავლებელმა თქვა has the ergative, because თქვა is a past-tense doing verb.
The clause can come first or second in the sentence: როგორც გინდა, ისე გააკეთე, or გააკეთე, როგორც გინდა (do it the way you want).
At Level 4 you will use როგორც in longer patterns, such as ისეთივე ..., როგორც (as ... as) and როგორც კი (as soon as).
