Here and There
აქ, მანდ and იქ mean here, there by you and over there.
How It Works
| Place word | Matches | Example |
|---|---|---|
| მანდ (there, by you) | ეგ | მანდ რა არის? |
მანდ is common on the phone, because the other person is somewhere else: მანდ ცივა? (Is it cold where you are?)
Like other place words, they usually come before the verb: (Nino lives there).
To ask where, use (Where are you? I'm here).
Keep იქ (there) apart from ის (he, she, that): იქ always names a place. Add -დან for from: აქედან (from here), იქიდან (from there).
