დღეს/ხვალ/გუშინ
Today, Tomorrow and Yesterday
დღეს means today, ხვალ means tomorrow and გუშინ means yesterday.
How It Works
| Georgian | English |
|---|---|
| გუშინწინ | the day before yesterday |
| გუშინ | yesterday |
| დღეს | today |
| ხვალ | tomorrow |
| ზეგ | the day after tomorrow |
The present tense can talk about plans with ხვალ: ხვალ ბათუმში მივდივარ (I'm going to Batumi tomorrow).
გუშინ needs a past verb, and past verbs come at Level 3: გუშინ კვირა იყო (yesterday was Sunday). Until then, use დღეს, ხვალ and ზეგ with the present tense.
To ask when, use როდის: როდის მოდიხარ? ხვალ (When are you coming? Tomorrow).
ზეგ is handy for plans too: ზეგ ქუთაისში მივდივარ (I'm going to Kutaisi the day after tomorrow).
