კიდეც
And Indeed
კიდეც after a verb stresses that something really happened or is really so: and indeed, actually.
How It Works
კიდეც (k'idets) is a small word of emphasis. It usually follows the verb it stresses.
| Job | Example |
|---|---|
| it really happened | თქვა, მოვალო, და მოვიდა კიდეც. (He said he'd come, and he actually did.) |
| something more | ხაჭაპური არა მარტო მიყვარს, ვაცხობ კიდეც. (I don't just love khachapuri, I even bake it.) |
| both ... and | ვიცი კიდეც და მიყვარს კიდეც. (I both know it and love it.) |
Before a verb in the optative, it means might even: შეიძლება კიდეც მოვიდეს (he might even come).
Keep it apart from კიდევ (Level 2), which means more or again: კიდევ მოვიდა means he came again, while მოვიდა კიდეც means he actually came.

Common Mistakes
Using კიდევ for actually.
თქვა, მოვალო, და კიდევ მოვიდა.თქვა, მოვალო, და მოვიდა კიდეც.კიდევ means again, so this says he came again. For actually came, put კიდეც after the verb.
