ho (oracions i atributs neutres)
Ho as Neuter and Clausal Pronoun
Ho represents a clause, a neuter idea or an appropriate predicative complement.
How It Works
Ho sé can refer to the fact that someone has arrived; it does not identify a masculine or feminine object noun. The demonstratives això and allò commonly correspond to ho when used as direct objects. A definite noun instead normally needs el, la, els or les.
Ho also replaces a predicate with ser or estar in suitable contexts: és metgessa i ho és per vocació; està cansat i encara ho estarà demà. Here it replaces the description, not the person.
Do not use ho for an indefinite quantity merely because the English translation says some or any. That partitive function commonly requires en. Identify whether the omitted element is a proposition, predicate or noun phrase.
