How It Works
ပါက means "if". It follows a bare verb, and what to do comes next: အကူအညီ လိုအပ်ပါက ရုံးသို့ ဆက်သွယ်နိုင်ပါသည်။ (If you need help, you can contact the office.)

ပါက has the polite ပါ built in, so it sounds courteous to the reader. That is why notices to the public choose it.
The second clause takes one of two shapes.
- An instruction ending in ပါ: ဘူတာရုံ ရုံးခန်းသို့ အကြောင်းကြားပါ (please tell the station office).
- A result ending in မည် or a negative: ပွဲကို ရွှေ့ဆိုင်းမည် (the event will be postponed), ဝင်ခွင့် မပြုပါ (entry is not allowed).
The verb before ပါက stays bare. Write ရွာပါက, never ရွာမည်ပါက.
ပါက and လျှင် mean the same thing. ပါက is more formal, and you will see it on medicine labels, forms, signs and in news about plans.
When you read a notice, find ပါက first. The part before it says when the rule applies, and the part after it says what to do.

ပါက gives the condition, and the next clause offers help.

If it rains heavily, the event will be postponed.
The result after ပါက is a future plan with မည်.
- ပစ္စည်း ပျောက်ဆုံးပါက ဘူတာရုံ ရုံးခန်းသို့ အကြောင်းကြားပါ။
If you lose something, please tell the station office.
A sign gives a polite instruction after ပါက.
- လက်မှတ် မရှိပါက ဝင်ခွင့် မပြုပါ။
Without a ticket, entry is not allowed.
မ before ရှိ makes the condition "if you do not have".
- ဆေးသောက်ပြီး သုံးရက်အတွင်း သက်သာခြင်း မရှိပါက ဆရာဝန်နှင့် ပြသပါ။
If you do not feel better within three days of taking the medicine, see a doctor.
A medicine label uses a negative condition with ပါက.
