बइठि के
Having Done: -इ के
The -इ form plus के links two actions: having done one, then another.
How It Works
To join two actions, usually done by the same person, put the first one in the -इ form and add के. The second action comes last and carries the tense.
| First action | With के |
|---|---|
| बइठब | बइठि के |
| करब | करि के |
| खाब | खाइ के |
| आउब | आइ के |
The -इ form never changes for person, gender or number. Only the last verb does: ऊ लोग बइठि के चाय पियत अहैं (they are sitting and drinking tea).
It may mean "and" (sit and drink), "after" (wash your hands and then eat) or "by" (he passed by studying). Context shows which. When the first verb has a clear time word, खाए के बाद (after eating) is another good choice.
