के बाद means after and से पहिले means before.

How It Works

Meaning	Form	Example
after	… के बाद	खाए के बाद
before	… से पहिले	सात बजे से पहिले

With a noun, put the noun first: काम के बाद (after work), साँझ से पहिले (before evening).

With a verb, use the -ए form: खाए के बाद (after eating), पढ़े के बाद (after reading).

Always write के बाद, never कै बाद. The कै of चाय कै दुकान is only the "of" between two nouns. With a noun, the word before बाद is के, never कै. After a pronoun there is no के: हमरे बाद. से पहिले is built with से.

After a pronoun, use the changed possessive: हमरे बाद (after me).
