Verb Stem + پانا

Managing to Do Something

Level 3

Keep the action stem bare and put agreement on پانا.

How It Works

In آخر مریم دروازہ کھول پائی, the opening was achieved, perhaps after difficulty. The feminine actor selects پائی; masculine دروازہ does not.

A future form describes whether success will be possible: پہنچ پائیں گے. It does not by itself guarantee that the future event actually occurs.

Compare سکنا for ability more generally. پانا often draws attention to the opportunity or obstacles affecting an action, but the situation supplies the particular difficulty.
