کو + Infinitive + پڑنا
Having to Because of Circumstances
Present the action as something the situation required.
How It Works
Use پڑا for a completed past necessity in a simple masculine singular infinitive frame. پڑتا ہے can describe a recurring necessity, and پڑے گا a future one.
The marked person does not select the verb’s gender. With an unmarked feminine object, agreeing forms such as کھولنی پڑی can occur; judge the complete construction.
This often sounds stronger or more externally driven than an ordinary plan with ہونا. It does not necessarily mean that another person used force.

پڑے گا places the necessity in the future.
- بلال کو کھڑکی کھولنی پڑی۔

Feminine کھڑکی selects کھولنی پڑی even though Bilal is male.
