Noun + کو
Marking a Recipient or Object
In these examples, find کو after the recipient or the person being called or seen.
How It Works
سارا کو خط دیجیے means give Sara a letter. سارا is the recipient.
بچے کو بلائیے means call the child. کو marks the person being called, and بچہ becomes oblique بچے.
In مجھے خط دیجیے, مجھے means to me. You can also use مجھ کو.
Do not add کو to every object. Its use depends on the verb, the kind of object and how specifically it is identified. An English “the” does not automatically require it.
