-نے والا + ہے
An Event About to Happen
The event is close or expected → it is about to happen.
How It Works
An infinitive ending in -نے can combine with والا, والی, or والے and a present copula. In the right context, this places the event just ahead or presents it as expected.
The ending agrees with the subject: بارش ہونے والی ہے, but مہمان آنے والے ہیں. The same construction can describe a regular role, so a time cue or the surrounding situation helps identify an imminent event.
“About to” does not promise an exact number of seconds. With a later time phrase, the construction can describe an expected plan instead of an immediate action.
