Read เรื่องนั้น as that matter and คนนั้น as that person. Each can come before a comment about it; นั้น also identifies something inside a longer noun phrase.

How It Works

Identify What Is Discussed
เรื่องนั้นผมไม่รู้ places เรื่องนั้น, that matter, before ผมไม่รู้, I do not know. คนนั้นเขาเป็นคนดี identifies that person and then describes him.

Read Explicit Topic Wording
ส่วนเงินนั้นไม่ต้องเป็นห่วง introduces the money with ส่วน and says there is no need to worry. การเมืองนั้นก็มีความซับซ้อน places นั้น after politics and ก็ in the following comment. Those are the words present in these sentences, not a rule requiring the same marker in every topic-comment sentence.

Find What นั้น Identifies
In อาหารร้านนั้นอร่อยมาก, ร้านนั้น identifies that shop. The larger phrase concerns the food at that shop. Not every occurrence of นั้น therefore marks the end of the whole topic.

Keep The Written Phrase
The card asks for เรื่องนั้น rather than เรื่องนั่น. It compares the complete written forms, without judging a recording. Compare น่ะ, ส่วน, and demonstrative phrases in their own complete constructions before substituting them.

    ส่วน introduces เงิน as what the sentence is about. The comment says there is no need to worry.

    The sentence places นั้น after การเมือง and ก็ before มีความซับซ้อน. It comments on politics as complex.

    นั้น identifies ร้าน, that shop, inside อาหารร้านนั้น. The full noun phrase concerns the food at that shop; นั้น is not placed after อาหารร้านนั้น as a separate marker.
