Embedded Questions
An embedded question keeps a question word or uses ali for a yes-or-no question.
How It Works
An embedded question keeps a question word or uses ali for a yes-or-no question. It is a clause within a statement and does not require English subject-auxiliary inversion.
Begin with a reporting frame such as Ne vem or Vprašal sem, then add the embedded question. Kje introduces a location question and ali a yes-or-no question. A statement containing an embedded question normally ends with a period, not a question mark.
