midva, medve, vidva, vedve
Dual Subject Pronouns
Use dual pronouns for exactly two people.
How It Works
Use dual pronouns for exactly two people. Midva and vidva include a male participant; medve and vedve refer to two females. Third-person dual uses onadva or onidve.
Compare midva sva with mi smo: changing from two people to a larger group changes both words. With two women, medve sva keeps the first-person dual auxiliary; a following participle instead shows feminine agreement, as in medve sva prišli.
