kdo / kaj
Asking Who and What
Kdo asks about a person and kaj about a thing, action or content.
How It Works
Kdo asks about a person and kaj about a thing, action or content. Their case changes with their role in the sentence; begin with subject and identifying questions.
A question word takes the role of its answer. Kdo govori? asks for a subject, but Koga vidiš? asks for a direct object. Kaj bereš? can ask about an object because kaj has the same visible nominative and accusative form.
