ali
Yes or No Questions
Ali can introduce a neutral yes-or-no question.
How It Works
Ali can introduce a neutral yes-or-no question. Questions without ali also occur, especially in conversation, and use question intonation rather than English-style do support.
With ali, keep the finite verb appropriate to the subject: Ali Ana dela? does not add a second auxiliary. A short answer can use Ja or Ne, but fuller answers such as Ja, dela preserve the meaning more clearly when the question is negative.
