Being About to Do Something

Level 3Sounds Like na lāgēkō cha

-न लागेको छ shows that something is just about to happen.

How It Works

This pattern uses the perfect -एको छ with लाग्नु. It shows the moment right before an action starts.

DoerPresentPast

The past often sets up an interruption: (I was about to sleep when the phone rang).

A thing can be the doer too: Then the -एको part stays -एको.

Use the -न form before लागेको, not the -नु form.
