Saying Your Age
A baby or a neuter noun such as मूल takes वर्षांचे.
How It Works
The word is वर्ष (year) with the plural shape वर्षां- and the ending -चा / -ची / -चे, which agrees with the person.

Speakers use the ending that matches themselves: a man says मी वीस वर्षांचा आहे, and a woman says मी वीस वर्षांची आहे.
Ask with किती वर्षांचा आहेस? to a man, किती वर्षांची आहेस? to a woman, किती वर्षांचे आहात? to an older man, or किती वर्षांच्या आहात? to an older woman. The noun वय (age) has another phrase: माझे वय वीस आहे.
Say the age in a sentence with आहे. For one year the year word is singular: बाळ एक वर्षाचे आहे. With another time, say it in the past: ती तेव्हा पाच वर्षांची होती (she was five years old then).

Grandpa is eighty years old.
वर्षांचे is the respectful plural.
Common Mistakes
Using the masculine form for a girl.
ती सहा वर्षांचा आहे.ती सहा वर्षांची आहे.वर्षांची matches a girl or woman.
Leaving out the ending.
मी वीस वर्षे आहे.मी वीस वर्षांचा आहे.The age needs the ending वर्षांचा, matching the speaker.
