सभ सँ

The Most

Level 2Sounds Like sabha sam̐

सभ सँ before a describing word means the most.

How It Works

WordWith सभ सँ
नीक (good)सभ सँ नीक (the best)
पैघ (big)सभ सँ पैघ (the biggest)
छोट (small)सभ सँ छोट (the smallest)

It is the same सँ as in "bigger than Sita", only the thing compared is सभ (everyone, everything). That is why सभ सँ literally means "than all".

Place it before the describing word, then add the noun or verb: ओ सभ सँ छोट अछि (She is the youngest).

सभ सँ also works before words for first and early: सभ सँ पहिने (first of all). Write सभ, never सब.
