Level 2Sounds Like sam̐ bēsī ā sam̐ kama

सँ marks the thing you compare with, and बेसी and कम say more and less.

How It Works

IdeaPatternExample
bigger, betterB सँ + describing wordसीता सँ पैघ
moreB सँ बेसीअहाँ सँ बेसी
lessB सँ कमअहाँ सँ कम

The describing word does not change for comparison. पैघ means big or older, and राम सीता सँ पैघ छथि means Ram is bigger or older than Sita. नीक means good, and ई ओहि सँ नीक अछि means this is better than that.

Add बेसी or कम to compare quantity: हमरा लग अहाँ सँ कम पाइ अछि (I have less money than you). Use सभ सँ for the most, as the next entry shows.
