सभ for Plural

Plural with सभ

Level 1Sounds Like sabha (bahuvacana)

Put सभ after a noun or pronoun to make it plural.

How It Works

सभ means all, and it also makes nouns plural. It comes after the noun.

OneMany
बच्चाबच्चा सभ
किताबकिताब सभ
हमहम सभ
अहाँअहाँ सभ

Nouns do not change their ending for the plural. Use सभ when the group matters, or leave the noun plain when the sentence is clear.

After a number, सभ is not needed: दूटा बच्चा (two children), not दूटा बच्चा सभ.

Spell it सभ, not सब.

The verb for a plain plural noun uses अछि: बच्चा सभ आँगन मे अछि.

With respected people, the verb is छथि: शिक्षक सभ एतय छथि (The teachers are here).
