पहिने / बाद
Before and After
बाद means after and usually takes -क, and पहिने means before and takes सँ.
How It Works

Both patterns work with time words and with events: स्कूलक बाद (after school), दू दिनक बाद (after two days), भोर सँ पहिने (before dawn).
Alone, पहिने means first or earlier: पहिने हाथ धोउ (Wash your hands first). बाद मे means later: बाद मे फोन करब. After a length of time, neither word needs a marker: एक मास बाद (a month later), 600 वर्ष पहिने (600 years ago).
To say after doing something or before doing something, use the verb forms taught at a later level, -लाक बाद and -बा सँ पहिने.

पहिने follows साँझ सँ.

The -क joins to स्कूल.
- भोर सँ पहिने उठू।
Get up before dawn.
सँ pairs with पहिने.
- दू दिनक बाद फोन करब।
I will call after two days.
बाद can follow a number of days.
