भरि
All Through
भरि after a time word means "all through".
How It Works
भरि is a separate word, usually after the noun.
| Phrase | Meaning |
|---|---|
| दिन भरि | all day |
| राति भरि | all night |
| साल भरि | the whole year |
| घंटा भरि | for about an hour |
With a unit of time, it also means "about one": घंटा भरि रुकू (Wait about an hour).
It can go with other nouns to mean "the whole": भरि पेट भात खाउ (Eat your fill of rice), गाम भरि (the whole village).
The verb tells the tense. हम दिन भरि काज कएलहुँ (I worked all day). राति भरि बरखा भेल (It rained all night).
Do not use मे for this. दिन मे means "in the daytime", not "all day".
