के अनुसार

के अनुसार means according to or in line with.
How It Works
के अनुसार has two closely related uses.
- A source of information: डॉक्टर के अनुसार (according to the doctor), ख़बरों के अनुसार (according to the news). The speaker reports what that source says.
- A rule or plan to follow: नियमों के अनुसार (under the rules), अपनी सुविधा के अनुसार (as suits you).
The noun before के अनुसार takes its form before a postposition, so plurals end in -ओं: नियमों के अनुसार. Pronouns take the possessive form: मेरे अनुसार (in my opinion), आपके अनुसार, उनके अनुसार.
अनुसार comes from Sanskrit and sounds a little formal. It is normal in news, notices and careful speech. In everyday conversation people often say के हिसाब से instead: मेरे हिसाब से यह ठीक है (I think this is fine). Another common choice is के मुताबिक़.
The phrase usually starts the sentence: मौसम विभाग के अनुसार कल तेज़ बारिश होगी।

The weather department is the source of the information.

के अनुसार reports what the doctor said.
- नियमों के अनुसार यहाँ गाड़ी खड़ी करना मना है।
Under the rules, parking here is not allowed.
नियमों takes -ओं before the postposition.
- मेरे अनुसार यह फ़ैसला सही है।
In my view, this decision is right.
With a pronoun, use the possessive form मेरे.
- आप अपनी सुविधा के अनुसार समय चुन लीजिए।
Please choose whatever time suits you.
