მივდივარ/მოვდივარ
Going and Coming
მივდივარ means I'm going there, and მოვდივარ means I'm coming here.
How It Works
| Who | going (there) | coming (here) |
|---|---|---|
| I | მივდივარ | მოვდივარ |
| you (one friend) | მიდიხარ | მოდიხარ |
| he, she | მიდის | მოდის |
| we | მივდივართ | მოვდივართ |
| you (several, or polite) | მიდიხართ | მოდიხართ |
| they | მიდიან | მოდიან |
Use -ში or -თან to say where: სამსახურში მივდივარ (I'm going to work), ექიმთან მივდივარ (I'm going to the doctor). Use -დან for where from: სკოლიდან მოდის (she's coming from school).
With a time word, these verbs talk about plans: ხვალ ბათუმში მივდივარ (I'm going to Batumi tomorrow).
These verbs do not follow the regular pattern, so learn the table as it is.
