After a genitive, მიხედვით means according to: პროგნოზის მიხედვით (according to the forecast).

How It Works

მიხედვით (mikhedvit) means according to or by. The word before it is in the genitive:

It has two common uses. It can name a source of information: პროგნოზის მიხედვით, ხვალ იწვიმებს (according to the forecast, it will rain tomorrow). It can also name a rule you follow or a way of sorting: წიგნები ავტორის მიხედვით დავალაგე (I sorted the books by author).

For what a person says, Georgian usually prefers ნინოს თქმით (as Nino says), which comes at Level 5. For an opinion, say ნინოს აზრით (in Nino's opinion).
