Activity verbs make the future with ი- in front and -ებ at the end, not with a preverb.

How It Works

Doing verbs make the future with a preverb: დავწერ (I will write). Activity verbs use a different pattern: ი- before the root and -ებ at the end.

The present ending (-ობ, -ავ, -ი) gives way to -ებ. In მუშაობ, a ვ appears: ვიმუშავებ.

The other persons work as usual: იმუშავებ (you will work), იმუშავებს (he will work), ვიმუშავებთ (we will work).

ვცხოვრობ (I live) follows the same pattern: ვიცხოვრებ (I will live).

ხვალ სახლიდან ვიმუშავებ.
Tomorrow I'll work from home.
ვიმუშავებ, with ი- and -ებ.
შაბათს ფეხბურთს ვითამაშებთ.
On Saturday we'll play football.
ვითამაშებთ, the we-form.
ქორწილში ყველა იცეკვებს.
Everyone will dance at the wedding.
იცეკვებს, the he-form.
ზაფხულში ბათუმში ვიცხოვრებ.
In the summer I'll live in Batumi.
ვიცხოვრებ, from ვცხოვრობ.
ამაზე მერე ვილაპარაკებთ.
