დილით/საღამოს/ღამით
Morning, Evening and Night
Say დილით (in the morning), საღამოს (in the evening) and ღამით (at night).
How It Works
English says in the morning and at night. Georgian puts an ending on the word instead.
| Word | When | Ending |
|---|---|---|
| დილა (morning) | დილით (in the morning) | -ით |
| საღამო (evening) | საღამოს (in the evening) | -ს |
| ღამე (night) | ღამით (at night) | -ით |
The endings are not the same for all three, so learn each word as it is. დილა and ღამე take -ით and drop their last vowel, and საღამო takes -ს.
Put a day in front to be exact:
- დღეს დილით: this morning
- დღეს საღამოს: this evening
- ხვალ დილით: tomorrow morning
These words usually come near the start of the sentence, before the verb.
