Ĉiu plus a time word plus -e makes one word.
How It Works
| Time word | Every ... | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| tago (day) | ĉiutage | every day |
| mateno (morning) | ĉiumatene | every morning |
| semajno (week) | ĉiusemajne | every week |
| jaro (year) | ĉiujare | every year |
The words are built like lunde (on Mondays) and tage (in the daytime). With ĉiu- in front, the word covers every one of those times. They are adverbs, so they never take -j. In the same way ĉiumonate means every month. These words fit habits and regular plans.
You can put the word before or after the verb: Ni lernas ĉiutage and Ĉiutage ni lernas both work.
