Future II
Future II marks the future event or situation that comes first or that the main clause depends on.
How It Works
| Person | Form |
|---|---|
| ja | budem stigao |
| ti | budeš stigao |
| on | bude stigao |
| mi | budemo stigli |
| vi | budete stigli |
| oni | budu stigli |
It appears in clauses with kad, ako, čim and similar words: Čim budem znao, javit ću ti. The main clause uses the ordinary future.
Future II often feels more careful and written. Bosnian speakers very often use the present instead: Kad stignem, nazvat ću te. That form is correct and is the one you learned first. Use the future II for extra clarity about the order of events. Many learners can skip it at first and add it later, when reading longer texts.
