Biti follows the same two orders as other verbs.

How It Works

ti	bit ćeš

The verb biti is the one you will use most often in the future: Bit će lijepo. Bit ćemo na vrijeme.

The same sentence can start with another word, and then the order flips: Sutra ću biti u Sarajevu. Both are normal. Do not use budem alone for a plain future in careful writing; it belongs to the future II (kad budem stigao), which has its own lesson.

A time word first: ću biti.
Bit će lijepo vrijeme.
The weather will be nice.
Third person: bit će.
Bit ćemo na vrijeme.
We will be on time.
First person plural.
Hoćeš li biti ovdje?
Will you be here?
The question uses li.

Common Mistakes

Using budem as a plain future
Sutra budem kod kuće.
Sutra ću biti kod kuće.
The plain future is bit ću or ću biti. You may hear budem that way in some places, but it belongs to future II.
