के / केकर
Asking Who and Whose
के asks who and केकर asks whose.
How It Works
Two question words for people.
| Word | Meaning | Example |
|---|---|---|
| के | who | ऊ के ह? |
| केकर | whose | ई केकर किताब ह? |
| केकरा | whom, before a postposition | केकरा से बात करत बाड़ऽ? |
के can ask about the doer too: दरवाजा पर के बा? (Who is at the door?)
Do not confuse the question के with the के that means of. The question के stands for a person by itself, as in ऊ के ह? or दरवाजा पर के बा?; the other के sits between two nouns.
