Level 1Sounds Like tē'ōm̐ / tēkhēta

তেওঁ নাজানে means “he does not know” or “she does not know”, said with respect.

How It Works

Neither word tells you if the person is a man or a woman. The context shows who is meant.

WordMeaningVerb endingExample
তেওঁhe or she, respectful-েতেওঁ কাম কৰে “he or she works”
তেখেতhe or she, very respectful-েতেখেত ঘৰত আছে “he or she is at home”

The word তেওঁ ends with the nasal mark ঁ. Without the mark, তেও is a different word that means “yet”.
