তাক / তাইক / তেওঁক

Him, Her and Them as the Receiver

Level 2Sounds Like tāka / tā'ika / tē'ōm̐ka

-ক goes on the person who receives the action: তাইক নামাতিব “do not call her”.

How It Works

The ending -ক marks the person who is on the receiving end of the verb.

সি heতাকমই তাক ভাল পাওঁ “I like him”
তাই sheতাইকতাইক নামাতিব “do not call her”
তেওঁ he or she, respectedতেওঁকমই তেওঁক দেখোঁ “I see him”
সিহঁত theyসিহঁতকমই সিহঁতক সন্মান নকৰোঁ “I do not respect them”

For the first and second person, the receiver forms are মোক and তোমাক.

A thing, such as rice, usually takes no -ক.

The person you help is a receiver too: মই তেওঁক সহায় কৰিম “I will help him”.
