زیادہ / کم
More and Less
Compare how much there is or how strong a quality is.
How It Works
زیادہ پانی and کم چینی describe quantities. English distinguishes less sugar from fewer people. Urdu uses کم for both.
Before an adjective, زیادہ or کم can compare a degree: زیادہ روشن means brighter or more brightly lit in a suitable comparison.
The comparison point may be expressed with سے or understood. A request with کم نمک can mean less salt, without naming the earlier amount.
