Genitive Singular
Common genitive singular endings include masculine and neuter -a and feminine -e or -i.
How It Works
Common genitive singular endings include masculine and neuter -a and feminine -e or -i. The genitive appears after many prepositions, with possession, quantities and ordinary negated direct objects.
Learn genitive forms alongside a governing phrase: brez prijatelja, brez knjige, brez vode. For possession, the genitive noun identifies the owner while the possessed noun keeps its own sentence role. Naslov prijatelja contains two different noun roles.
