pas res mai

Nothing Else

Level 4

Pas res mai says that nothing is left to add: Vòli pas res mai.

How It Works

OccitanEnglish
pas res mainothing else, nothing more
pas res pusnothing more (also written)
pas res de mainothing more (also written)

The three forms are all written by Languedocien authors. Pas res pus is more frequent in print than pas res mai. This course uses pas res mai.

The verb comes first, then pas, then res mai: Vòli pas res mai, Sabèm pas res mai.

Pas mai and pas pus alone mean no longer: Ven pas mai (He does not come any more). Pas res mai is about things.
