pas cap

Not Any

Level 2

Pas cap de means not any, even one.

How It Works

Pas follows the verb, and cap de introduces the noun. The meaning is stronger than pas de: there is none at all, not even one.

OccitanEnglish
I a pas cap de problèma.There is no problem at all.
Ai pas cap de libre.I do not have a single book.
Vesi pas cap d'ostal.I see no house at all.

The noun after cap de is singular, and de becomes d' before a vowel. Laus notes that pas goes with cap, degun and gaire. For a person with no noun, use pas degun, and for a thing with no noun, use pas res.
